North & East SF Bay - K-14 Pathways Technical Assistance

The North & East Bay Career Pathways Consortium is a network of leaders from 14 community colleges, numerous K-12 school districts and workforce boards across Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, Solano and Sonoma counties. Janine Kaiser served as director and technical assistance provider of the initiative. She helped implement strategies to promote early college credit, data sharing, regional marketing, work-based learning and college & career readiness. The goal of this initiative is to build a more seamless and industry-relevant regional education system, that helps students more successfully transition between K-12, post-secondary education and the workforce.

The Workforce Alliance of the North Bay (WANB) includes the workforce boards of Napa, Lake and Marin counties, and has adopted Next Generation Industry Sector Partnerships as an important organizing framework for business engagement. Compass Policy has supported WANB with Partnership strategy, including supporting the launch and preliminary initiatives of its Health Care Partnership in collaboration with Solano County, and facilitating the Napa Hospitality Industry Partnership.

Silicon Valley Competitiveness and Innovation Project

The Silicon Valley Competitiveness and Innovation Project (SVCIP) is a collaboration between the Silicon Valley Leadership Group and Silicon Valley Community Foundation to create a focused data dashboard highlighting strengths and weaknesses in Silicon Valley’s regional economy and workforce, and build a data-driven rationale for public policy actions. Janine Kaiser was the project manager and a lead author and analyst for both the 2015 and 2016 reports as a consultant at Collaborative Economics, and Compass Policy continued to conduct data analysis for the 2017-2019 reports.
